Checkpoint Charlie is a very historical location that refers to the crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War. It is located at the junction of Friedrichstraße with Zimmerstraße and Mauerstraße. I'm sure many of IDCSEA2008 participants would have visited this place.

Another location not to be missed is Checkpoint Curry where Eastern Food meets Western Palette. It is located behind the Friedrichstraße railway station. It may not be a historical site, and it should not be missed by the participants. So, the next time you are in Berlin, make this one of your destination!

Hai, Faizal. Very interesting and nice pictures! Thank you for posting it. They remind me about the days in Berlin. It was nice to be a solitary person sometimes, right? So you were able to enjoy Berlin`s scenery and took good picture at Check Point Charlie without being disturbed by anybody. Alle beste!
Sometimes, you have to be alone to savour the meaning of life and watch life goes by. Solitude is a must in this very busy world.
My outing to Checkpoint Charlie and other places in Berlin was very educational and memorable.
How was your day spent in Berlin? I'm sure you have many wonderful pictures to share with all of us here.
One thing for sure when you are alone, you cannot be in the picture unless you brought along a tripod or ask someone to take the picture for you. Did you ask anyone around to take photos of you in front of interesting places?
Hai, Faizal. Unfortunately, I did not like to be in the picture, Faizal. So . . . I did not ask anyone around to take photos of me in front of interesting places in Berlin. Or, do you think they will take my pictures with their own cameras when I myself did not notify it? Who knows? Smile!
