A Poem From A Mother

This is one of the poem from a mother to her daughters.

I know my dear daughter,
The arrowhead you throw by your bow,
Will not point the star.
But I am sure,
The arrowhead you have,
Will fly far away beyond you,
Beyond everything,
And it will fly towards the star.

What is inside? This poem is just to seize the day and to practice: Scripta manent, verba volant (The writings remain, the words fly away). Greetings from UGM!

Very nice, short, and meaningful poem, ika. What i see hear is a mother telling her daughter not to be disappointed when things fail in life.

"The arrowhead you have," the objective and purpose of life, should be long term and if you strive towards it, one day, you can achieve what you want.

This applies to personal and professional objective.

Never give up.

Thank you, Faizal. Exactly that we have to learn (and teach students and children to learn) how to comprehensively see wider horizon of life in which every moments are converged to succeed the mission of life itself.

Do you recognize who is the mother and who are the daughters? Smile!

By the way, where are the others? It seems only both of us here in the blog. Victor, where are you? Faizal and me miss you!

I agree with Ika that we need to widen our horizon and be humble to learn and teach one another. The metaphorical mother and daughter is are left to one's imagination, but i can presumably guess who they are!

Yes, where are you Victor. We miss you so much. Selamat.
